Welcome to our Traditional Cats and Siamese Cats Domain.  This is the area within our domain where we try to keep you up to date on the latest news affecting our members and our cats.  The introduction will not change from month to month, but the body will.

It will augment our newsletter, and hopefully share breaking news of interest to you. It will include medical news, personal news about our members, as well as their cats. If you have any information which falls into  this category, please drop us a line here, so we can share it.  Same goes for questions and comments.

Our site is one of the Incredible Sites featured in the new book "300 Incredible Things for Pet Lovers on the Internet" by Bob Vella, host of the nationally syndicated radio show Pet Talk America (www.pettalk.com) and Ken Leebow who is known as 'Mr. Internet.' After reviewing over 3000 sites, ours was selected for identification.  We hope you agree!

300 Incredible Things for Pet Lovers on the Internet is the newest edition to the popular "300 Incredible Things to Do on the Internet" series of books, which has sold over ONE MILLION copies.  Perhaps you've seen these user-friendly, $8.95 paperback books featured on CNN, CNNfn monthly, CNN.com, Fox Family National News, in USA Today, McCalls or heard about them through hundreds of media outlets across the country in just the past year alone!  The book series is sold via book stores, the Web, catalogs, airport stores and leading department and gift stores.

NEW BOOK

We are so very happy to announce the availability of the new book "The Traditional Siamese and Classic Siamese Cat - A complete history " by Diana Fineran. It covers the complete history of what led to the abandonment of the Traditional and Classic Siamese by all other cat associations.  Learn the facts from history as they unfold on the pages through words and pictures documenting the acts leading up to their near extinction. Through over 1100 photographs, and 986 pages in the book, you will find familiar and previously unknown facts as to how this all came to be.

16 BREEDS ACCEPTED BY TCA, INC. SINCE 2000

Mid 2001 - We are very happy to inform you that TCA, Inc. has accepted another six breeds into our protective umbrella: Traditional Bombay, Traditional Havana Brown, Traditional Ragdoll, Traditional Russian Blue, Traditional Snowshoe, Traditional Turkish Angora

Late 2001 - We are very happy to inform you that TCA, Inc. has accepted another six breeds into our protective umbrella: the Traditional Abyssinian, Traditional Somali, Traditional Maine Coon, Singapura, and Traditional Tonkinese, Traditional American Shorthair.

Mid 2000 - We are very happy to inform you that TCA, Inc. has accepted another four breeds into our protective umbrella.  These four breeds are the closest relatives to the Siamese geographically speaking.  These breeds are the Khao Manee, The Gao Taem, The Ninlaret, and the Korat.

While these are not new breeds to the world, their un-modifiable breed standards have recently been accepted by the membership of TCA, Inc. to join those already accepted.  Please refer to their FAQ Sections for more information about each of these breeds.

*** Of special note from a historical point of view is the information that augments the FAQ's for several of the Khao Manee, The Gao Taem, The Ninlaret, and the Korat.  We have the fortunate addition of translations from the "Cat Book Poems" (as translated in Martin Clutterbuck's book "The Legend of Siamese Cats", e-mail: martin@amanuensis.th.com). This substantiates the validity of these breeds over many hundreds of years.

International Updates !

TCA and TSCA are offering a color Calendar for 2004.  It can be purchased through us, and is available for immediate delivery.

We have worked closely with Sheelagh LeCocq to implement her updated website.  We have added new information to her new site.  The UK based Traditional Siamese Cat Association can now be found at http://members.tripod.com/tsca.uk/

We wish her the best in her new address !

Website Updates !

We have expanded our coverage for the breeds n the Turkish Angora area with some recent additions.  Those interested in learning more about them should take another look at that area, under breed info.

Registry Updates !

We are nearing the close of the registry books for 2003.  Witht he continued addition of new breeders, we are always trying new ways to aid the breeders in registration of their cats and kittens.  Our continued growth offers new challenges and opportunities, so we are trying to be ready for whatever comes.

We have also added all of the registration forms to the web in the PDF format.  (the free download of Adobe Acrobat is available at http://www.adobe.com) This will make it more convenient for breeders to get the forms quickly. Remember that our registry is open to all persons, and not just members. Even your House Hold Pet can be registered to show how much you love them!

First Timers - Look here!

If this is your first time here, take a look at our newly expanded Breeders' Directory, which also is the gateway to our extensive Worldwide Breeders List. We plan to make this homepage the best on the web for Traditional feline lovers, whether you're buying, selling, looking for fun, entertainment, educational material, or entering our Spring TCA Photo Shows. We honor both the Purebred and House Hold Pet in our shows. We have posted some of our past winners in our Photo Area

With 14 years of continuous Newsletters, we are looking  back at our libraries, and picking out some of the best articles and stories of interest and will replay them in our TCA Newsletters area. We have also added a replay of some of our most liked articles in our Cat Capers section. We plan to append all of our Newsletter that we have provide to or members over the years, starting in the beginning.

We are also updating our focus on our TCA Registry. A full service Registry for Traditional cats and Household Pets is available to anyone.  Expect professional service with a friendly attitude. We plan to do a full press effort from some of the world's leading authorities on pedigrees, and what they can and cannot tell you. We have just added all our forms to this website, making it easier for everyone to register quickly and accurately.

As we have always tried to do, we are also offering you a broad base of Products and Services which other providers are hoping you'll give a try. The Classified section is for those buyers or sellers hoping to make a trade.
